Norway futures

Abelias Trendkonferanse

8. desember vil seniorpartner Tom Savigar i The Future Laboratory gi oss et innblikk i deres omfattende analysearbeid. Presentasjonen tar utgangspunkt i globale utviklingstrekk og hvordan disse vil påvirke Norge i fremtiden.

Her er Savigars egen oppsummering:

Post-oil. Post-gas. What will Norway's future look like? What will be the new growth sectors? What will be the new business models? How will people work? Where will talent come from, and do? What will future domestic and international consumers demand? How will businesses make money?

The world of work is rapidly changing. Old certainties, both good and bad, about the attitudes and aspirations of the workforce will crumble over the next decade as a powerful new wave of technological disruption, AI and automation sweeps across the world.

We aim to address these questions through the following presentations

Life Futures: this presentation will discuss the changing nature people, lifestyles and consumer demands and how you can be prepared for emerging sectors and abilities in order to better grow into new growth economies

Work Futures: This presentation will discuss the future of job security and tenure, wellness in the workplace, career motivation and flexibility, retention through new forms of value and remuneration, and how many of the other basic assumptions about how, where and why we work will be challenged, and in many cases, rejected over the coming decade.

"Norwegian businesses are preparing for a future that will look very different. Digitalization, advanced communication technologies, bioscience, the knowledge economy, data analytics and security are just a few sectors that present new opportunities for Norwegian commerce. The challenge is going to be lifting out of an oil and gas driven economy and culture that has made modern Norway what it is, to see future opportunities for growth and success".
